Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Over the last few weeks, when I am not playing Halo 3 or Call of Duty 3 multiplayer, I’ve been squeezing in some time with Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii. I know I am a little late to the party with this one, but I also just got a Wii so bare with me while I catch up with all the ‘must-play’ games.

Now I was planning on sitting down and running right through the entire game, but I just could not keep myself interested enough. I’m sorry to say it but once I was near the end of the game I just couldn’t be botherd anymore. I got really repetitive and I just wanted to see the rest of the story without having to do the boring ‘playing’ of the game.

I mean the story was alright, I like the world of Zelda, but maybe I am just too old to stay interested anymore. I don’t want to have to worry about some stupid little kids anymore. I want some older story lines. I want someone to die. I want some betrayal and some suspense. Keep the story entertaining enough that I want to play the game to get to see it.

So I am taking it back to blockbuster tonight… unfinished. I am currently in the water temple and I have just grown bored of these stupid dungeons. Give me an epic battle, give me something worth caring about enough that I will beat this dungeon. Give Link some dialogue already! Why does he not speak? Why the hell do I want to play as this guy when he has no personality at all?

I will quit rambling now, I just expected a whole lot more from Nintendo and from the Zelda franchise.
