I tried to be paitent and wait for more clarification on this point, but I guess it’s either not coming or it’s just as simple as Blizzard is really just going to screw us again. In my other post, I was pretty much joking when I feigned fear at what the other announcements coming out of Blizz-con would be.

Honestly, a fee-based battle.net?! It’s really like they sat down and came up with a list of ways they could start alienating fans and become the Microsoft of the gaming world. This is pretty much just straight up greed and the fact that it’s so thinly veiled behind nonsensical corporate PR jargon makes it come off as even more obscene. Obviously, rolling around in the slop of WOW subscription fees for the last couple of years hasn’t changed Blizzard for the better.
